pERFORMING
A graduate of UCF, Glenn has been performing professionally since 2008. His passion has always been the art of live music (especially funk!), both playing and teaching. He has been working as a full-time musician since 2014, playing both drums and bass in multiple groups around Central Florida, with a current focus on the Chuck Magid Band which began touring in 2019.
-
In 2017 Glenn played with Classic Albums Live (bass) for Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti and Fleetwood Mac's Rumours at the Hard Rock Live in Universal Citywalk.
-
Glenn has played with national performers such as Bob Carr, Jeff Medina (The Commodores), Bunky Garrabrant (Beebs & her Moneymakers), and Jeremy Birdsall (Rico Monaco/Flying Mammals), as well as opened for Rick Derringer, John Mayall, Devon Allman, Doug E Fresh, C&C Music Factory, Chris Simmons, King Yellowman, Spafford, and Leon Russell.
TEACHING
Glenn has been an instructor for multiple drumlines as well as consistently given private drum and bass lessons since 2009. His teaching style involves helping students get comfortable and confident enough with their instrument to help them discover their own sound; this includes being able to look up and listen in to react to everything else that happens in a dynamic live performance. Although Glenn has a fundamentals lesson plan for every instrument, each individual student's curriculum is quickly customized based on what music/learning style inspires the student and keeps them engaged in music.
In addition to private lessons, Glenn currently teaches drums, bass, guitar, piano, mallet percussion, and saxophone at:
Sam Ash Music (Lee Road)
Music & Arts (Sanford)
Music & Arts (Millenia)
